Magical river of the night.

Krishna Shringaar was a magical river that flowed through the kingdom of Awashti. The legend was that the river had magical properties that transformed ordinary human beings into magical ones. If a person took a bath in the holy river he would glow with ethereal beauty and grace during the day and in the night his body would turn into luminescent dark blue colour just like the waters of the river, which was the colour of Krishna's body, and he would begin to emit celestial light in the dark, his body would glow like flames covered by  translucent glass.

Princess Mitali was fascinated by these stories and strongly desired to be eternally beautiful by bathing in that river. The only difficulty was, the river was invisible during the day, it appeared only in the darkness of the night, like iridescent dark blue clouds descending into the valley. It would only appear to a true seeker, one had to look for the river by himself in the night, alone in deep dark forest. No two people had ever seen the river together.

Mitaali expressed this desire to her father, he got extremely worried about her . He was well aware of the dangerous creatures lurking in those dark forest. but princess' desire for the eternal beauty surpassed all fears. He finally had to give in, but he sent some of his best soldiers to guard the princess.

The moment they stepped into the shifting jungles they were separated from the princess, alone she waded through treacherous dark valley. She kept walking till the darkest hour of the night, when she heard the thundering sound of the river descending. Few yards away was the glowing dark blue river flowing with all its magical beauty and force.

As she inched closer she encountered a glowing blue Seer, at first she thought it was a tall lamp by the river side, a closer look revealed it was another being who had bathed in the divine waters of Krishna Shringaar. She went closer and bowed to him.He asked her why she wants to bathe in the river, she expressed her desire to be eternally beautiful. Seer laughed and said "The divine Krishna Shringaar does not reveal itself to everyone, only the deserving ones get to see it, you must have done some great deeds in the past to have earned such great fortune. Please go and plunge yourself into the flow of the divine Krishna himself."

Elated she jumped into the dark blue glowing water, she felt something transforming in her. Her whole body started emitting celestial light, she felt everything in her being was cleaned and washed to the core. Her body felt pure and pristine like a temple. Then she looked up and saw the glowing dark night-like river descending from the heavens like a galaxy.

Rotating slowly and falling down very very slowly. She felt her heart slowing down with its rhythm, she started hearing the music of the stars and the universe. She was so filled with the slow ecstatic movement, that her life as a princess felt like just  a miniscule  part of herself and her desire to be eternally beautiful,  a very trivial whim. She was so caught up in the flow of the magical Krishna Shrigaar that she could not pull herself out of the fulfilling beauty of the moment. She stayed in the river for eternity and lived on as the fountain of youth that cured and gave a new life to the sick and infirm.
